Born and bred in London, England, of British and Jamaican heritage, Karen Angus grew up in the diverse British cultural eruption of the 1980's. With turntables spinning everything from Al Green to Madonna to Bob Marley and Duran Duran were never far from her ears, and into the 1990s the parties never seemed to end. This gave birth to her passion for music, fashion and all things creative.
Karen chose the art of makeup as her creative outlet. After studying at the London College of Fashion, she pursued a career in the fashion and beauty industry as a make-up artist. She began working for artists at Sony, MTV and BBC (London, UK)
Karen's career blossomed as she began living and working in New York City from I999. She has worked with world-class make-up artists like Pat McGrath and Polly Osborne at New York fashion week; she learned from these role models the professionalism that has now become her trademark.
Her experience spans across fashion, editorials, videos, commercials, film, television and music tours, her clients have included:
