Interested in the aesthetics industry and want to understand more about anti-wrinkle treatments before committing to further training? This introductory foundation course gives you an insight into anti-wrinkle treatments, facial anatomy, products, equipment and the safety considerations involved in aesthetic practice. Course fee: £1,200 per person Duration: 5 hours Day: Tuesday, 3:30 pm to 8:30 pm What the course covers: • Introduction to the aesthetics industry and anti-wrinkle treatments • Basic facial anatomy, including facial muscles, arteries and blood vessels • An introduction to treatment areas and safety considerations • Understanding products, needles, syringes and equipment • Introduction to product preparation and reconstitution principles • Client consultations, suitability and contraindications • Hygiene, infection prevention and treatment safety • Potential complications and the importance of recognising warning signs • Understanding insurance and the role of an independent prescriber • An introduction to legitimate pharmacy supply arrangements and setting up an aesthetics business • Guidance on further training and professional development Practical learning: The course includes demonstrations and practical learning to introduce the equipment, products and principles involved in aesthetic treatments. Any hands-on injection practice is subject to appropriate eligibility, prescribing arrangements, supervision and insurance requirements. Certificate: On successful completion of the course requirements, you will receive a personalised foundation CPD certificate. This is an introductory course and does not provide prescribing rights or automatically qualify you to administer prescription-only medicines independently.
